We see Bar/Bat Mitzvah as the beginning of a spiritual life journey. Our clergy and staff work closely with our families to create a meaningful life cycle experience.
Throughout the preparation for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, the students have several opportunities to meet with the Rabbi and to work with the Cantor. In addition to Religious School and Midweek Hebrew, private tutoring is added approximately eight (8) months prior to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah to work one on one with the Torah portion and fine tune all the prayers and blessings.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah dates are given out at the beginning of the student’s third grade year or upon joining the congregation if your child is in a later grade.
We look forward to working with you and your family to make this rite of passage meaningful, spiritual and a moment to cherish on your child’s lifelong Jewish journey.
