About Us

Temple Shalom is a place for meaningful worship, meaningful learning, and meaningful gathering. We are a warm, loving and nurturing home for all seeking deep connections with others, who are searching for programs and opportunities that help and heal our community, and who are exploring Jewish Tradition. Our temple welcomes the beautiful diversity of families and individuals as we journey together seeking to enrich our lives through the three historic aspects of synagogue life- a house of prayer for meaningful worship, a house of study for meaningful learning, and a house of connection for meaningful gathering. Temple Shalom is home to everyone regardless of age, background, race, ethnicity or ability.

We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming community for interfaith families. We embrace our interfaith families in all aspects of synagogue life. We want your family members from other faith backgrounds to feel completely comfortable and engaged. Everything we do at Temple Shalom is open to all our members. We are blessed that Rabbi Andrew Paley is able and honored to perform weddings (and all lifecycle ceremonies) for interfaith couples.

Our Mission: Temple Shalom builds holy community, connecting our congregation to one another, to God, Torah, Israel and the Jewish people through worship, study, gathering and community service.

Temple Shalom is a Reform Jewish congregation located in North Dallas at the intersection Alpha Road and Hillcrest Road, 1/2 mile north of the I-635/LBJ Expressway. Founded in 1965, we moved to our present location in 1972. The temple is a spacious and beautiful 55,000 square foot facility located on a wooded 14-acre lot.
