Thanks for exploring the Temple Shalom website!
I extend a warm welcome on behalf of the Board of Trustees and our entire congregation. We are more than just a religious organization-we are a vibrant and inclusive community. From Jewish lifecycle events to worship, Torah study, Lifelong Learning, special programs, and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world through community service opportunities), we offer a diverse range of activities to connect our congregants to one another, God, Torah, Israel, and the Jewish people.
As Temple Shalom turns 60 this year, we celebrate our multigenerational congregation and the many social events we provide for all, including children, teens, young adults, young families, super seniors, LGBTQ+, and Brotherhood and Sisterhood auxiliaries. At Temple Shalom, we believe in the power of community and the joy of belonging.
My family’s journey to Temple Shalom began when our daughter, inspired by her friends’ experiences, wanted to attend Temple Shalom’s Religious School. Little did we know that becoming Temple Shalom members would be our best decision. Through our involvement and integration into the Temple Shalom family, we found a place where we can thrive as individuals and as a family.
I would love to personally meet you at a worship service, family program, or religious school. Our Executive Director, David Lamden, Senior Rabbi Andrew Paley, and Deborah Niederman, RJE, Director of Lifelong Learning, would be pleased to meet by appointment to show you around and learn about you and how our congregation may serve you and yours. Our Coordinator of Belonging, Monica Susman, is also available to help you find your way, whether you are new to North Texas or Temple Shalom!
Please explore our website pages, as Judaism is a communal experience filled with tradition and joy, and we hope you will join our community and find meaning and fulfillment in belonging to and participating in what Temple Shalom has to offer.
I look forward to meeting you at Temple Shalom, where you belong!
L’ Shalom,
Theresa Myers
President, Temple Shalom
