Friday evening at Temple Shalom
Shabbat at Temple Shalom is a time to pause, reflect, and recharge our tired spirits. Our welcoming community offers meaningful and engaging worship experiences that honor tradition while embracing the spirit of modern Jewish life.
Friday evening worship begins at 6:30pm, inviting you to wind down from the week and enter the peace of Shabbat with inspiring prayer, music, and teachings. Join us at 6:00pm for a wine and cheese oneg, a warm and casual pre-service gathering.
Following services, please join us for “Davening and Dining” our award-winning program of fellow congregants and friends joining together for worship and then joining together for dinner after services at a local restaurant. For more information and registration, please email [email protected] for more information.

On the last Friday of the month, please join us for a post service zoom gathering chat and fellowship. Please email [email protected] by 8:00pm for zoom link and registration.
For those who cannot attend in person, Temple Shalom offers live streaming for Friday evening, ensuring that everyone—no matter where they are—can participate and feel a part of our vibrant community.
Saturday morning at Shalom
On Saturday mornings, our weekly Torah study with Rabbi Paley begins at 9:00am in the Learning Center. Come a little early for lox and bagels! Following Torah study, please join us for Shabbat worship at 10:30am in the Epstein Chapel with a service that blends prayer, Torah study, and a sense of community. These gatherings are a time to deepen your connection to Jewish tradition while finding relevance and inspiration for today.
Once a month, we welcome our youngest pray-ers and their families to our Munchkin Minyan, a monthly Shabbat morning program designed for families with children aged seven and under. This engaging and fun-filled experience includes singing, dancing, and storytelling, creating a warm and welcoming introduction to Shabbat and Jewish traditions.
Open to the entire community, Munchkin Minyan is a wonderful way for families to connect, celebrate, and build lasting memories together. For more information, please contact Deborah Niederman, RJE, our Director of Education.
Whether you are a regular attendee or visiting for the first time, Shabbat at Temple Shalom is a chance to find renewal, connection, and joy as we celebrate the gift of rest and reflection together.
