Help provide food and essential supplies to those experiencing food insecurity.

Sack the Snacks is a Temple Shalom initiative that provides snack packs for individuals and families in need. There are several meaningful ways to support this program:

Donate Items

You can drop off individually wrapped sweet or savory snacks and 8 oz drinks in the large colored bin located in the back of the coat room at any time.

Sponsor a Packing Session

A meaningful way to make an impact is by sponsoring a full packing session.

  • Suggested sponsorship: $360 per session
  • Donations can be made through the Temple Shalom donation page

Provide Supplies for a Session

You may also choose to purchase all items needed for one packing session:

  • Approximately 250 of each item
  • Items should be delivered by the packing day

Common questions about donating to Temple Shalom.

Do I need to log in before donating?

Temple Shalom members should log in before donating so their gift is associated with their account. Non-members may donate without logging in.

Can I dedicate a donation?

Yes. Donations can be made in memory, honor, or for a speedy recovery.

Are there minimum donation amounts?

Online donations must be a minimum of $18.

Can donations be paid in installments?

No. Donations must be paid in full.

Can gifts to the 60th Anniversary or Welcome Circle be dedicated?

No. These funds cannot be dedicated in honor, memory, or recovery.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Temple Shalom is a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Can I make a recurring gift?

Yes. Recurring donations can be set up through the donation page.
