Supporting Flood Relief Efforts in Central Texas
Temple Shalom offers our heartfelt prayers and support to the families of Camp Mystic, the entire Kerr County community, and the courageous first responders affected by the devastating floods.
Many have asked how they can help. Our strongest recommendation is to support local efforts. Local organizations are often able to deliver services more efficiently and directly to those in need.
At this stage of the crisis, financial contributions are especially impactful and preferred over donating goods. Below is a list of organizations actively working on the ground to provide aid and relief.
Please note: Temple Shalom does not officially endorse or partner with any of these organizations. We encourage you to do your own research before making a contribution.
Recommended Local Relief Efforts:
- Kerr County Flood Relief Fund – Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
Community foundations are well-positioned to respond quickly and allocate funds where they are needed most. - Shalom Austin Flood Relief Campaign
Donations will go directly to families impacted by the floods in Central Texas, providing immediate support and recovery assistance. - Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR)
TEXSAR is deploying ground teams, boats, drone units, K9s, and more to support ongoing search and recovery missions. - Kidventure’s Flood Relief Fund
Kidventure, a longtime camp provider in the Hill Country, is supporting recovery through their nonprofit arm. - Kerrville Pets Alive
In partnership with Austin Pets Alive, this initiative is rescuing and caring for pets injured or displaced by the floods.
Let us continue to hold Central Texas and all those affected in our hearts. May our support bring comfort, healing, and hope to those who need it most.
