DESCRIPTION:Parents for kids ages 1-6: Join us for Nature Play Mornings\, a hands-on outdoor experience for young children and their caregivers to explore what Temple Shalom Early Childhood Center is all about. Come create\, discover\, and connect in the best classroom of all – nature. \nThis free summer series runs from 9:30–10:30 am on select mornings and is open to the community. Each session offers a unique\, experience-based activity that reflects our approach to outdoor learning. Families are welcome to attend one or as many sessions as they’d like. \nUpcoming Sessions: \nMay 12 (Tuesday) – Nature Treasure Hunt\nExplore the magic of collecting and noticing. Children will search for natural treasures\, sort their findings\, and create their own collections.\nMay 17 (Sunday) – Things That Move\nRoll\, drop\, throw\, and spin. Discover movement and motion using ramps\, balls\, and natural loose parts.\nMay 21 (Thursday) – Painting With Nature\nWhat happens when nature becomes your paintbrush? Create using sticks\, leaves\, mud\, and natural pigments.\nJune 4 (Thursday) – Not a Stick\nBuild\, arrange\, and construct using one of nature’s most versatile materials.\nJune 13 (Saturday) – Water and Wonder (in partnership with Munchkin Minyan)\nPour\, splash\, and explore movement and flow through playful water experiences.\nJune 23 (Tuesday) – Nature Potions\nMix\, mash\, and create imaginative potions using flowers\, herbs\, water\, and mud.\nJune 28 (Sunday) – Mud Fest\nCelebrate the joy of mud play with digging\, mixing\, and full-body sensory exploration.\nJuly 7 (Tuesday) – Build a World\nCreate small worlds and imaginative landscapes using natural materials and loose parts.\nJuly 18 (Saturday) – Water Engineers\nDesign and build channels\, dams\, and pathways to explore how water moves.\nJuly 23 (Thursday) – Storytelling in the Wild\nUse fabric\, forts\, and imagination to bring stories to life outdoors.\nJuly 26 (Sunday) – Sensory Party\nExplore textures and contrasts through hands-on sensory play. \nCome see how learning comes to life outdoors at Temple Shalom Early Childhood Center.

Drawing on the wisdom of rabbinic tradition and modern thought\, this course invites open conversation\, reflection\, and discovery. \nTemple Shalom is proud to partner with the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning to launch a new Temple Shalom Melton Community.
