Yom Chamishi, 29 Iyyar 5777

Temple Shalom welcomes youth of all ages with diverse programming designed to foster social, spiritual, and educational growth and to help develop the future Jewish leaders of our congregation and the Jewish community.  Our goal is to help create a fun and stimulating atmosphere that encourages our young people to develop strong positive bonds with each other, the Temple and Jewish tradition.

6th -12th graders are encouraged to attend periodic Blue Jean Shabbats. Our 9th-12th graders in our Senior Youth Group, SHFTY, Shalom Federation of Temple Youth, also participate in National Federation of Temple Youth programming. Our 8th graders participate in local SHFTY events.

Temple Shalom has a strong connection to Greene Family Camp, the URJ affiliate camp located in Bruceville, Texas, and sends one of the largest groups of campers to GFC each summer.

Temple programming for Youth includes periodic Blue Jean Shabbats, Munchkins Minyan (Families with young children), family services, Religious SchoolB'nai Mitzvah programNext Dor 2.0 Program, Confirmation, and Ozrim™. We also keep in touch with our college-aged students with College Connection care packages.
