Chartered in Texas as a nonprofit corporation in 2012, Skill QUEST took over the operations of QUEST:Dallas/Collin, a 2010 expansion project of Project QUEST, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas (http://www.ProjectQUEST.org) started with JET funds from the State of Texas. Skill QUEST is an outgrowth of the ongoing institutionally based community organizing efforts of Dallas Area Interfaith (http://www.DallasAreaInterfaith.org) responding to the needs of the Dallas area community.

 Job Title: Office Aide

Are you detail oriented? Well organized? Skill QUEST, Inc. is based in Dallas helping lift heads of

households from minimum wages to middle income wages. With more hospitals and high tech

employers seeking our services, we are looking for the ideal office aide who can help us process the

numerous documents required for intake of candidates at our office to become clients, we call

participants.

Skill QUEST, Inc. is a non-profit rapidly expanding to curb the rising tide of poverty in Dallas. We seek

volunteers willing to help us change lives. As a volunteer you will get to work with a variety of our staff,

board, other volunteers and candidates who would like to become participants. Your document

management and organization skills will quickly assist candidates through our application process, and

follow up procedures. Your success will sustain our growth.

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands documents are meant to be managed. Well managed

documentation helps us provide assistance as needed to heads of households struggling to balance

home, study and work as each attempts to get certificates, licenses or an Associate’s degree toward a

better paying career. Everyone wins when every document is in its place, and there’s a place for every

document.

What we require:

-Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive projects.

-Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.

-Strong communication skills, fluent in Spanish and English would be helpful.

-Youth oriented.

-Be flexible.

Details:

Volunteers needed from September 15th through December 15th. One day weekly, Mondays preferred.

Work at 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Building A, Suite 118, Dallas, 75215 from 9am to 5pm.

Job Title: Day Chair - Receptionist

there anyone who you don’t know or seem familiar with? Skill QUEST, Inc. is based in Dallas helping lift

heads of households from minimum wages to middle income wages. With more hospitals and high tech

employers seeking our services, we are looking for the ideal Day Chair-receptionist who can help us

welcome candidates at our office to become clients, we call participants.

Skill QUEST, Inc. is a non-profit rapidly expanding to curb the rising tide of poverty in Dallas. We seek

volunteers willing to help us change lives. As a volunteer you will get to work with a variety of our staff,

board, other volunteers and candidates who would like to become participants. Your smile and

directions will guide candidates through our application process, online, on the phone, or in person.

Your success will sustain our growth.

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands we’re all linked in our respective mission and life

purposes. Someone who treats everyone with the dignity they deserve. That is to say treats paupers as

princes and princesses, is kind to kings, and builds relationships with everyone.

What we require:

-Fluent in Spanish and English.

-Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.

-Strong communication skills answering the phone, addressing questions online, greeting guests, or

directing candidates.

- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive projects.

-Retired but not tired, filled with wisdom, young at heart.

-Be flexible.

Volunteers needed from September 15th through December 15th. One day weekly, Thursday or Friday

preferred.

Job Title: Social Media Volunteer

minimum wages to middle income wages. With more hospitals and high tech employers seeking our

services, we are looking for the ideal communicator who can help us connect his needs with our

services.

Skill QUEST, Inc. is a non-profit rapidly expanding to curb the rising tide of poverty in Dallas. We seek

volunteers willing to help us change lives. As a volunteer, you will get to work with a variety of our staff,

board, other volunteers and clients we call participants, while working on projects to help sustain our

growth.

Our ideal candidate is someone who understands we’re all linked in our respective mission and life

purposes. Someone who is savvy with social media, creative, and thoughtful when interacting with

online communities and building relationships.

What we require:

-Familiarity with social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

-Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office.

-Strong communication skills.

-Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive projects.

-Be flexible

Details:

Volunteers needed from September 15th through December 15th. At least one hour weekly.

Work remotely, with one monthly office visit for All Staff meeting on Mondays at 2:00 pm.

Training at 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Building A, Suite 118, Dallas, 75215, on Mondays

from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

Job Title: Website Design Support

Evaluate current look, layout and features of current Skill QUEST, Inc. website.

Offer examples of graphic design innovation. Assist with additions and maintenance of website.

To accomplish this effort an introductory meeting is needed with the Executive Director, Director of

Participant Services, and the Board Treasurer. An orientation is planned for an hour on a Monday at the

office, 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Building A, Suite 118, Dallas, 75215. Further instructions

and interaction will occur via Google Hangouts.

Skill QUEST, Inc. is a non-profit based in Dallas helping individuals move from minimum wages to middle

income wages. Skill QUEST collaborates with community colleges and local employers. We are rapidly

expanding to steer motivated people toward highly skilled high-technology careers. Our ideal candidate

is someone who is caring, compassionate and willing to help others out of poverty. Someone who
